The CARLI SUSPENSION 13-18 RAM 3500 4X4 DIESEL ALAS FULL PROGRESSIVE LEAF SPRING KIT offers a solution for those seeking to lift their truck while maintaining its capacity and ride quality. Designed in collaboration with Deaver Spring, these progressive leaf springs provide a 1" lift in the rear (2" for 19+ models) and greatly improve the ride quality when unloaded. This is achieved by adjusting the rear position sensor to ensure the airbags are deflated at the new ride height, allowing for more up-travel distance before the airbags engage. Additionally, these leaf springs have the capacity to support the weight of the truck, providing a safety net in case of air system failure. The only downside is that the "ALT Trailer Height" button will not function when the truck is unloaded, but this small inconvenience is worth the improved ride and added safety.
With this leaf pack in place, we went to work on the factory air system. After several revisions, we found the perfect spacer height to achieve full travel of the new leaf springs with the factory bag and built a relocation bracket for the rear height sensor to ensure proper operation of the load leveling system. As the front radius arm drop brackets interfere with the factory air tank, we include a custom bracket and airline to relocate the tank to the spare tire area. The spare tire cavity on these trucks will not accept any larger than a stock size spare; given the recommended 35”-37” tires with this system, it was the logical choice with the nullification of the factory spare. Another perk, it alleviates the Amp Research Step and air tank interference.
